Prime Minister assigned Industry Ministry to organize retraining programs

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, assigned Kazakhstan Ministry of Industry and Commerce along with the Ministry of Education and Sciences to organize retraining programs for the laid-off employees of industrial enterprises, the agency reports.

Astana. January 23. Today - The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, assigned Kazakhstan Ministry of Industry and Commerce along with the Ministry of Education and Sciences to organize retraining programs for the laid-off employees of industrial enterprises, the agency reports.

During the meeting K. Masimov assigned "not to admit increase of unemployment as such preconditions exist."

"I charge the Minister of Industry and Commerce along with the Minister of Education and Science and akims of oblasts, in the event some enterprises lay off their employees, to create on the basis of the existing educational institutions, or on the basis of the enterprises the programs for preparation and retraining of such employees so that a person who has lost his workplace has an opportunity to acquire a new profession or improve his skills," K. Masimov said.
