Astana. January 22. Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov charged to develop the measures on liquidation of aviation fuel deficit in the country. The Prime Minister gave the assignment at the session of the Ministry of Transport and Communications on Monday, the agency reports.

The Prime Minister charged the Ministry of Energy, the state holding Samruk and Transport Ministry to make proposals on development of manufacture of aviation fuel in Kazakhstan and define the place for manufacture.

As a whole, according to the President of Air Astana Company Peter Foster, since 2002 in Kazakhstan prices for aviation kerosene have grown by more than 3 times.

He reminded that in November, 2007 Russia increased export taxes for avia kerosene. In this connection, the suppliers increased the prices by more than 40 %, having essentially reduced the export from the Russian Federation. "Sharp shortage of aviation fuel in the market threatens continuous avia transportation," P. Foster emphasized.
