Prime Minister charged to intensify work on prevention of illegal export of grain and flour

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov charged the Committee of Customs Control of the Ministry of Finance to strengthen work on prevention of illegal export of grain and flour. The Prime Minister entrusted the chairman of Customs Control Committee Kozy Korpesh Karbuzov at the meeting of the Ministry of Finance on Thursday, the agency reports.

The Prime Minister emphasized, "several days ago price for grain increased in the international markets. At the same time he reminded, "Kazakhstan government signed the memorandum with grain producers ensuring prices for grain will remain unchanged until harvest in 2008."

"According to the operative information, there will be attempts of illegal export of flour and grain to the southern directions," K. Masimov stated.
