Prime Minister continues inspection of regions of South Kazakhstan oblast damaged in disaster

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov and other officials arrived in the Saryagash region of the South Kazakhstan oblast to acquaint with the situation in the area of disaster, the Emergency Measures Department of the South Kazakhstan oblast press service informed the agency.

As it was informed earlier, last night K. Masimov visited Aryss region. There he met the inhabitants of the settlement Akdala, whose houses have been damaged because of flood. The Prime Minister said: "We will make everything that is necessary. The situation is under the state's control.

According to all available information from the Emergency Measures Department of the South Kazakhstan oblast, as a result of flood, in three regions of the oblast, 1904 houses have been damaged, more than two hundred out of them have been destroyed, five schools have been flooded, two bridges have been destroyed, one person died, 304 head of cattle loss has been registered.
