Prime Minister, Foreign Investors Council discussed development of electro power sector of Kazakhstan

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov held the meeting with the representatives of foreign party of Foreign Investors Council (FIC) at the president of Kazakhstan, during which the parties discussed the questions of development of electro power sector of Kazakhstan, the agency reports referring to the government's press service.

Astana. May 6. Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov held the meeting with the representatives of foreign party of Foreign Investors Council (FIC) at the president of Kazakhstan, during which the parties discussed the questions of development of electro power sector of Kazakhstan, the agency reports referring to the government's press service.

According to the press service, FIC made "presentation of the vision of the current problems of the sector, measures for improvement of investment climate, improvement of tariff policy, methodology of tariff formation, and proposals and recommendations regarding tariff policy for manufacturers of electric power."

During the meeting the parties discussed Kazakhstan government position on tariff policy for energy producers.

"Following the results of the meeting, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan charged the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of Kazakhstan Sauat Mynbayev to continue negotiations with the representatives of Foreign Investors Council," the press release informs.

FIC representatives expressed readiness for close cooperation and participation in negotiations.
