Prime Minister interested in German experience in use of alternative energy sources

Almaty. August 22. Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, today during the meeting with the representatives of the Institute for Solar Energy Fraunhofer (Germany) headed by Director Eike Weber expressed interest in use of German experience in creation of the national legislation regulating the market of alternative energy sources and development of export oriented production with application of energy saving and environmentally friendly technologies, the agency reports referring to prime minister's press service.

According to the press service, during the meeting the parties discussed world experience of use of solar power and prospect of Kazakhstan in manufacture, development and use of alternative energy sources.

Following the results of the meeting, K. Masimov charged to continue negotiations on exchange of experience with the Institute of Solar Energy Fraunhofer and to consider opportunities of application of German technologies in realization of the strategy of effective utilization of energy and alternative resources of Kazakhstan with the view of steady development till 2024.

The Institute of Solar Energy Fraunhofer does researches of technologies necessary for effective power supply and technologically appropriate in industrial, preindustrial and developing countries.
