Prime Minister suggests creating interdepartmental division on revealing officials covering up drug business

Astana. March 31. Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, suggested at the government session today creating an interdepartmental division on revealing officials of all levels covering up drug business in Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

"I will address the head of the state with the request to create an interdepartmental division on revealing the people who have high posts, in the law enforcement bodies, and in local authorities, who cover up drug business in Kazakhstan," K. Masimov said.

He instructed his assistant, Serik Ahmetov, to head a working group of the program developed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs on struggle against drug business. "I give thirty days for completion of this program taking into account internal issues, budgetary questions, and legislation development. I do not think there is anything terrible, if we make it compulsory to test for drugs all state employees and all children," the Prime Minister said.
