Program of development of microcredit organizations to continue till 2010

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce proposed to continue the program of development of microcredit organizations till 2010.

Astana. March 4. Kazakhstan Today - The Ministry of Industry and Commerce proposed to continue the program of development of microcredit organizations till 2010. The Minister of Industry and Commerce Vladimir Shkolnik said on Monday during the expanded meeting of the Prime Minister with the representatives of small and medium enterprises, the agency reports.

"We consider necessary to continue the program of development of microcredit organizations for the period of 2008 - 2010 through available institutes of development," V. Shkolnik said.

The Minister has noted that "the quantity of microcredit organizations annually increases and as of January 1, 2008 has totaled about one thousand ".

"The need in microcrediting for Kazakhstan, according to the UN experts, makes about 800 million dollars a year."
