Project of amendments to election legislation introduced in Parliament

Astana. May 29. Kazakhstan Today - The bill on amendments and additions to the constitutional law On Elections has been introduced in the Parliament of Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

"The introduced amendments can be divided into two blocks. The first block are amendments, introduced to implement the norms of the Constitution, and the second block - the amendments directed at improvement of the elective legislation and specifying amendments," Vice Minister of Justice Dulat Kustavletov explained presenting the bill to the deputies of the Majilis Committee for the legislation and judicial-legal reform.

"In connection with the reduction of the term of the President' s powers the amendment on carrying out of the next elections every 5 years is being introduced," he added.

The Vice Minister relates the norms specifying the powers of authorized representatives, the status and powers of observers, the order of issuing of united certificates to the second block.
