The Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Kazakhstan, Michael Bocharnikov, said today at the press conference.

The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Kazakhstan specified that "preliminary consultations on acceptance of the decree of the President of the Russian Federation on recognition by Russia of independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, members of the CIS and CSTO have not taken place."This is a sovereign decision of the Russian Federation," he emphasized.

At the same time the Russian Ambassador has stated that "if Russia signs with Abkhazia and South Ossetia friendship, cooperation and mutual help treaty, Russia will render them advisory help in formation their foreign policy," Bocharnikov said.
