Russian President to take part in informal multilateral meeting in Kazakhstan

The President of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, will take part in an informal multilateral meeting in Kazakhstan, the agency reports with reference to the press service of the President of the Russian Federation.

Almaty. December 18. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, will take part in an informal multilateral meeting in Kazakhstan, the agency reports with reference to the press service of the President of the Russian Federation.

According to the press service, D. Medvedev will take part in the informal multilateral meeting in Akmola oblast on December 19-21, 2008 by the invitation of the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev.

As informed earlier, the leaders of the CIS countries will gather on December, 19th for the informal summit in Borovoy. The official representative of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Ashikbayev, informed on December, 15th during a weekly briefing.

According to Y. Ashikbayev, the leaders of Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are invited to the summit.

"During the meeting the presidents will exchange opinions on the urgent issues of development of regional cooperation and also the problems connected with the world financial crisis," he informed.
