Russian-Kyrgyz Military Agreement to be signed in the spring of 2011

The Russian-Kyrgyz Military Agreement concerning the Russian military base in the territory of Kyrgyzstan will be signed in the spring of 2011. First Vice Minister of Defense of Kyrgyzstan, General Major Asylbek Ormokeev, informed, following the results of the negotiations of the experts of the Ministries of Defense of Kyrgyzstan and Russia, the agency reports.

Bishkek. September 24. Kazakhstan Today - The Russian-Kyrgyz Military Agreement concerning the Russian military base in the territory of Kyrgyzstan will be signed in the spring of 2011. First Vice Minister of Defense of Kyrgyzstan, General Major Asylbek Ormokeev, informed, following the results of the negotiations of the experts of the Ministries of Defense of Kyrgyzstan and Russia, the agency reports.

"The Russian military units in the territory of Kyrgyzstan will be a part of the joint military base. It is being done to have a joint command," the head of the Russian delegation, deputy chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Valery Gerasimov informed.

"The agreement can be concluded only after it is coordinated with other departments. The signing is planned for spring of 2011,"A.Ormokeev said.
