Senate Speaker met Ambassador of Vatican

The Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev met the Ambassador of Vatican to the Republic of Kazakhstan and Central Asia, Most Reverend Archbishop Yusef Vesselovsky in connection with the completion of his six-year diplomatic mission in the Republic, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Senate.

Astana. February 28. Kazakhstan Today - The Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev met the Ambassador of Vatican to the Republic of Kazakhstan and Central Asia, Most Reverend Archbishop Yusef Vesselovsky in connection with the completion of his six-year diplomatic mission in the Republic, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Senate.

During the meeting K. Tokayev thanked the Ambassador for his contribution to development of mutual relations and asked to transfer Vatican gratitude for support of the initiative of Kazakhstan on carrying out of the congress of leaders of world and traditional religions, cooperation in which is one of the priority directions between Kazakhstan and Vatican.

Y. Vesselovsky assured the Chairman of the Kazakhstan Senate that Vatican and henceforth will be actively supporting the efforts of Kazakhstan on strengthening peace and inter confessional consent at the global level.

K. Tokayev handed over to Most Reverend Archbishop Yusef Vesselovsky gratitude letter for big contribution in development and strengthening of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Vatican.
