Speakers of both Chambers of Parliament of Kazakhstan met Czech Senate chairman

The chairmen of both Chambers met the chairman of the Senate of Parliament of Czechia, Premysl Sobotka, today in the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the agency reports. He emphasized that the visit of his Czech counterpart to Kazakhstan "will promote expansion of not only political contacts, in particular inter-parliamentary communications, but also trade and economic cooperation."

"The specific decisions on further activization of trade and economic relations are expected to be made following the results of the planned actions within this business-visit and the results of the next II session of the Kazakhstan-Czech intergovernmental commission," K. Tokayev said.

P. Sobotka during the talks with the chairmen of both Chambers of Parliament expressed gratitude "for an opportunity to pay this visit to Kazakhstan." "This has been already my second visit to Kazakhstan. Being on the post of vice chairman of the Senate in 2002, I had an opportunity to visit your country and, having arrived again, I could see huge development in your country, in particular in Astana," he said.

"Czechia has supported nomination of Kazakhstan for the post of OSCE chairman," the chairman of the Czech Senate concluded.
