State Office of Public Prosecutor studies materials of Ministry of Health

The State Office of Public Prosecutor of Kazakhstan is studying the materials of the inspection of the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan in regards to the facts of infection of children with the virus of hepatitis C. The official representative of the Ministry of Health, Nurdaulet Suindikov, informed at a briefing in the State Office of Public Prosecutor, answering journalists' questions, the agency reports.

Astana. February 18. Kazakhstan Today - The State Office of Public Prosecutor of Kazakhstan is studying the materials of the inspection of the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan in regards to the facts of infection of children with the virus of hepatitis C. The official representative of the Ministry of Health, Nurdaulet Suindikov, informed at a briefing in the State Office of Public Prosecutor, answering journalists' questions, the agency reports.

"The Office of Public Prosecutor of Almaty is inspecting the case of infection of children with the virus of hepatitis C, which it has not finished yet. Besides, the State Office of Public Prosecutor has demanded the inspection materials of the Ministry of Health," N. Suindikov informed.

He noted that now these materials are being studied. "If we reveal infringements of the law, criminal actions, we will take measures to eliminate them and punish guilty people, including criminal liability," he underlined.

As informed earlier, the Office of Public Prosecutor of Almaty has begun the inspection of the Institute of Pediatrics in regards to possible infection of children with hepatitis C.

As informed earlier, mothers of leukaemia children said at the press conference in Almaty that their children had been infected with hepatitis C through blood transfusion in hospitals.
