Status of Public Service Agency needs to be raised - president's administration

The administration of the president of Kazakhstan considers it necessary to raise the status of Agency for Public Service. The head of president's administration, Kayrat Kelimbetov, informed today the meeting in the agency today, the agency reports.

"It is necessary to raise the status of the agency," K. Kelimbetov stated.

He reminded that now powers of the agency at the legislative level are limited "to introduction of proposals on cancellation of decisions of the state bodies accepted with infringement of the law."To increase responsibility of the state bodies that have admitted infringements of the law on public service, it has been proposed to allocate the agency with control powers on registration of officials who have made disciplinary infringements," the chairman of president's administration said.

"The similar measure will solve the problem of escaping from responsibility of people who during their civil service made those offences and could escape punishment due to change of their place of work," he considers.
