Termination of activity of Collective Forces for Maintenance of Peace in zone of Georgian-Abkhazian conflict to be considered at session of CSO leaders

The leaders of CIS member states will consider the question of discontinuance of activity of the Collective Forces for the Maintenance of Peace in the zone of the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict, the agency referring to the press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan. According to the press service, this question has been submitted for consideration of the leaders of the states by the Russian party. The main question of the agenda will be strategy of economic development of the CIS countries.

Bishkek. October 10. Kazakhstan Today - The leaders of CIS member states will consider the question of discontinuance of activity of the Collective Forces for the Maintenance of Peace in the zone of the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict, the agency referring to the press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the press service, this question has been submitted for consideration of the leaders of the states by the Russian party. The main question of the agenda will be strategy of economic development of the CIS countries.

The leaders of the states will consider the project of priority directions of cooperation of the countries of the Commonwealth in the sphere of transport for the period till 2020, the convention of frontier cooperation of the CIS member states, the program of cooperation of the states in counteraction to illegal migration for 2009 - 2011 and the projects of documents in the field of counteraction to terrorism, illegal circulation of drugs, illegal migration and in the sphere of maintenance of information safety for 2008 - 2010. In total, the presidents of the states will discuss 21 questions.

The presidents will discuss the question of defining cooperation in the field of energy as the key sphere of cooperation of the CIS member states in 2009. As it was informed earlier, the question has been introduced by the initiative of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

The leaders of the states will make a decision on date and location for the next council meeting of the CIS leaders and on presidency in Commonwealth for the following period.

The next session of the Interstate council of the leaders of the states of the Eurasian Economic Community that includes Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will take in the second half of the day. The President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, will preside over the session of Interstate EurAsEC Council.
