U.S. Assistant Secretary of State to present exclusively in Kazakhstan a new U.S. foreign policy program for Central Asia

Almaty. August 10. Kazakhstan Today - Robert O. Blake, Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs will exclusively present in Kazakhstan the U.S. foreign policy program "New Silk Road", Kazakhstan Today reports.

"August 14, 2012 at the Institute of World Economics and Politics under the Foundation of the First President of Republic of Kazakhstan - Leader of the Nation, an exclusive presentation of U.S. foreign policy program "New Silk Road" will be held. Robert O. Blake, Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs will be a speaker," the Institute of World Economics and Politics informed.

The institute noted that "the event is organized by the U.S. State Department in conjunction with the Institute of World Economics and Politics with a view to better acquaintance with the foreign policy strategy in Central Asia and create favorable conditions for expert discussion and evaluation".

"During the presentation, a high-ranking guests from the USA will present the fundamentals and the prospects of this strategy, which is the basic conceptual platform of the U.S. for states of Central and South Asia," the organizers of the meeting specified.
