Almaty. June 11. Kazakhstan Today - Ukraine and Russia have agreed on joint talks with the Central Asian countries about gas deliveries in 2009. The President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko stated on Tuesday, the agency reports referring to Neftefaz. RU.

According to V. Yushchenko, the proposal was made at the meeting with the President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev. "I suggested Gazprom and Naftogaz of Ukraine hold negotiations with suppliers of gas of the Central Asian region within the limits of balance of 2009. We have agreed on such mechanism," the President of Ukraine said.

V. Yushchenko noted that it is too early to speak about price and conditions of deliveries of gas to Ukraine next year and that this question is not political, but needs to be decided in the Cabinet of Ministers and the companies. He emphasized that Ukraine is interested in activization of the dialogue on gas question.
