United States allocated $65 million for presidential elections in Afghanistan

The United States of America has allocated $65 million for carrying out of the presidential elections in Afghanistan, the agency reports citing Asia Plus.

Dushanbe. February 4. Kazakhstan Today - The United States of America has allocated $65 million for carrying out of the presidential elections in Afghanistan, the agency reports citing Asia Plus.

According to the press service of the USA Embassy in Kabul, the funds will be spent to support the constituencies in Afghanistan in the forthcoming presidential elections.

According to the American diplomatic mission, the USA welcomes the decision of the independent election commission, which had declared the date of carrying out of the presidential elections in the country. The USA will support the independent election commission of Afghanistan.

On the eve, the chairman of the independent commission of the presidential elections in Afghanistan, Azizulla Ludin, stated that the presidential elections had been postponed for three months and will be held on August, 20th, 2009.
