Uzbekistan government resigned

The government of Uzbekistan has resigned their powers to the newly elected Parliament of Uzbekistan, the agency reports citing RIA Novosti.

Almaty. January 27. Kazakhstan Today - The government of Uzbekistan has resigned their powers to the newly elected Parliament of Uzbekistan, the agency reports citing RIA Novosti.

According to the chairman of the Lower Chamber, Dilorom Tashmuhamedova, the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyaev, handed in an application to oliy majlis (parliament) about resignation of the powers of the Cabinet of Ministers to the newly elected Parliament of Uzbekistan."

D.Tashmuhamedova also informed that oliy majlis complied with the request and asked the government to execute its powers until election of the new structure of the government.

The President of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov, has suggested S. Mirziyaev's candidature for the post of Prime Minister of Uzbekistan.
