Yanukovych took oath to Ukraine as new president

The leader of the Party of Regions, Victor Yanukovych, took the oath to Ukraine as the new president of the country, the agency reports citing RIA RosBusinessConsulting (RBC).
Almaty. February 25. Kazakhstan Today - The leader of the Party of Regions, Victor Yanukovych, took the oath to Ukraine as the new president of the country, the agency reports citing RIA RosBusinessConsulting (RBC).

V. Yanukovych took the oath, having placed his hand on the Constitution and the Peresopnitsky Gospel - the first evangelical edition, translated into the Ukrainian language, which weighs 9 kg and is dated to the 16th century. The powers of the previous President, Victor Yushchenko, will be discontinued, and V. Yanukovych will assume the post.

The representatives of 51 states, including 9 presidents, 7 prime ministers, 7 speakers, 13 Ministers for Foreign Affairs and 41 heads of delegations of foreign states and some international organizations took part in the inauguration ceremony.
