Astana. December 27. Kazakhstan Today - About 2500 Kazakhstan pilgrims have arrived in the Saudi Arabia to perform one of five main Muslim precepts - the sacred Hajj, Kazakh MFA press service informed the agency.
According to the press service, the Kazakhstan pilgrims will celebrate the holidays Kurban-bayram and New Year in Mecca.
The Embassy of Kazakhstan in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia organized the events on the basis of the agreement signed by the Spiritual Board of the Moslems of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of the Hajj affairs of Saudi Arabia. The Embassy came into direct contacts with the responsible Saudi ministries and departments and is operatively solving all arising organizational issues on carrying out the Hajj by the Kazakhstan pilgrims.
In connection with concurrence of the dates of Kurban-bayram and the New Year, the Embassy of Kazakhstan organized the reception in the sacred Mecca in honor of the arrived Kazakhstan pilgrims.
