300 billion KZT necessary for modernization of municipal networks in Kazakhstan - Orazbakov
Astana. December 25. Kazakhstan Today - 300 billion KZT will be necessary for full modernization of engineering networks of available housing in Kazakhstan. The Minister of Industry and Commerce of Kazakhstan Gayle Orazbakov informed during the government session, the agency reports.
"Quality of municipal services is indissolubly connected with necessity of carrying out of repair and reconstruction works of operating engineering networks, deterioration of which makes from 60 % up to 70 %, and in a number of regions reaches 90 %.
"Proceeding from the data, we believe it is necessary to strengthen work on increase of the level of provision of the population with municipal services by construction of, including, at the expense of budgetary funds, additional networks and creation of new and development of the existing enterprises rendering municipal services," the minister said.

Oil spill detected in Caspian Sea
According to space monitoring data, received from Sentinel-1A (02:43 UTC), an oil spill was detected on March 30 in the area of Kashagan field in the Caspian Sea. The spill area is about 7 square kilometers. The spill was drifting to the north of the Caspian Sea," the publication reads.
If these facts are confirmed by Atyrau region’s Ecology Department, unscheduled inspection will be conducted at the North Caspian Operating Company. The results will be reported additionally," the Ecology Committee says.
