49 new schools will be opened in a new academic year in Kazakhstan. It was informed by a press service of the Kazakh Education and Science Ministry.
Construction of schools is the implementation of the head of state's instruction to increase the number of schools and to avoid triple shifting. According to the Ministry, out of 72 schools, three schools in Akmola region, nine in Aktobe region, six in Almaty region, one in East Kazakhstan region, four in Zhambyl region, three in West Kazakhstan region, three in Karaganda region, five in Kyzylorda region, eight in Mangystau region, 20 in Turkestan region, seven in Almaty and three in Astana.
In 2015-2017, as part of the national programme Nurly Zhol KZT135bn was allocated to construct schools, which made it possible to construct 108 new schools.
In general, over three years 347 new schools have been constructed at the expense of the national fund, republican and local budgets. That is, taking into the planned 235 schools, the plan was over fulfilled by 147%," they said in the Education and Science Ministry.
In a 2018-2019 academic year, there will be more than three million schoolers in 7024 schools of Kazakhstan, of whom 350 thousand are first graders.
