Astana. June 24. Kazakhstan Today - 777 HIV-infected people have been revealed in Kazakhstan in January - April, 2009 (in January - April, 2008 - 794), the monthly report of the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan informed.

In particular, 221 HIV-infected people were revealed in April, 2009 as compared to 200 HIV-infected in April, 2008.

According to Republican Sanitary Epidemiological Station, in January - April, 2009, in Kazakhstan, the number of sick people with rotavirus enteritis increased by 27.4 % and echinococcus - by 25.8 %. In April, 2009, in comparison with the corresponding month of 2008, the number of people with rotavirus enteritis has grown by 68.5 %.

The most wide spread infectious diseases have been respiratory tract infections - 10 122.3 cases per 100 thousand population, respiratory tuberculosis - 102.3, acute enteric infections - 81.6, syphilis - 46.6, hepatitises virus - 38.4, pediculosis - 21.7 and rash - 19.7.
