Air Astana launches Almaty - Hong Kong flight

Kazakh citizens can travel to Hong Kong without a visa if the duration of their stay does not exceed 14 days.

Almaty. August 28. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan's international flag carrier Air Astana launches Almaty - Hong Kong flight from August 28 on airliner Boeing 757 (16 seats in business class and 150 ones in economy class), Kazakhstan Today reports.

"The flights will be operated on Tuesdays and Fridays. Departure of the flight from Almaty is at 01:35 and arrives in Hong Kong at 09:45 (local time). Aircraft will fly from Hong Kong at 10:15 of local time and land in Almaty at 03:25 the following day, local time. Flight Duration from Almaty to Hong Kong will be 6 hours and 10 minutes, and from Hong Kong to Almaty - 7 hours and 10 minutes," the press service of the company said on Monday.

For the convenience of passengers, convenient layovers to Hong Kong flights with partner airlines in Macau, Manila, Guangzhou and other cities in Southeast Asia.

A round trip from Almaty to Hong Kong in economy class starts at 83,225 tenge, including all fees, in business class - from 338 227 tenge.

"Air Astana" is a full member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and a joint venture of JSC "National Welfare Fund "Samruk-Kazyna" and Britain's BAE Systems PLC, with a share of 51% and 49%, respectively.

"Air Astana" is one of the airlines in Kazakhstan certified to perform aircraft maintenance standards Part-145 of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). At present fleet "Air Astana" consists of 26 aircraft B767-300, B757-200, A321, A320, A319, E-190 and F-50.
