Arcelor Mittal, trade union of coal miners Korgau signed agreement
Karaganda. January 28. Kazakhstan Today - The management of ArcelorMittal and trade union of coal miners Korgau signed the agreement, the chairman of trade union of coal miners Korgau Marat Mirgayazov informed the agency.
According to M. Mirgayazov, the agreement on increase of wages of coal miners by 50 % has been reached.
According to the chairman of trade union, during negotiations the arrangement on increase of the cost price of coal has been reached.
As it was informed earlier, the negotiations between trade union of coal miners Korgau and the employer - company ArcelorMittal began on January 24 in Karaganda.
The topic of the negotiations was the requirements put forward by the miners, including: increase of wages by 50 %, retirement age - at the age of 50, 100 percent payment of sick leaves, decrease of lava load due to strong gas-laden atmosphere in the mines, establishment of cost price of ton of coal not less than $60.

Oil spill detected in Caspian Sea
According to space monitoring data, received from Sentinel-1A (02:43 UTC), an oil spill was detected on March 30 in the area of Kashagan field in the Caspian Sea. The spill area is about 7 square kilometers. The spill was drifting to the north of the Caspian Sea," the publication reads.
If these facts are confirmed by Atyrau region’s Ecology Department, unscheduled inspection will be conducted at the North Caspian Operating Company. The results will be reported additionally," the Ecology Committee says.
