Bolivarian Alliance countries introduced sucre

The countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) that includes Bolivia, Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, Ecuador, and also the island states of the Caribbean - Antigua and Barbudas, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the Commonwealth of Dominica introduced into circulation conditional monetary unit - sucre, the agency reports citing ITAR-TASS.

Kazakhstan Today - The countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) that includes Bolivia, Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, Ecuador, and also the island states of the Caribbean - Antigua and Barbudas, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the Commonwealth of Dominica introduced into circulation conditional monetary unit - sucre, the agency reports citing ITAR-TASS.

The first transaction was made between Venezuela and Cuba. The Cuban importers through ALBA Bank transferred 108 thousand sucre for delivery by the Venezuelan company of 360 tons of rice.

The sucre rate in relation to US dollar is at the rate of 1.25 that is, according to the ALBA experts, reflects an euro and dollar parity. The ALBA countries in April, 2009 signed the frame agreement on introduction of conditional monetary unit - sucre to increase goods turnover and decrease dependence on dollar.
