Baikonur. March 28. Kazakhstan Today - The booster block Frigate intended for launch of the European satellite GLOVE-B has been delivered to Baikonur, the agency reports referring to the source at the cosmodrome.

The space vehicle GLOVE-В by the booster block Frigate will be launched to the target orbit at the height of more than 23 thousand kilometers.

Within one day the booster block and containers with the auxiliary equipment will be transported to the assembly testing house of the platform №112.

During preparation for the launch of the satellite GIOVE-A the works are being done on the delivered earlier booster rocket Soyuz-FG and the satellite GIOVE-A.

The first satellite of Galileo system GIOVE-A (Galileo In-Orbit Validation Element) was launched from Baikonur on December 28, 2005 by the booster rocket Soyuz-FG. The space vehicle GIOVE-A was launched to the orbit at the height of more than 23 thousand kilometers.

Galileo system will include 30 satellites (27 operational and 3 spare) and will be capable of distinguishing objects on the Earth surface with margin error 5 - 10 meters. Galileo system will work along with the American GPS and Russian Glonass.

The launch of the space vehicle GLOVE-В by the carrier rocket Soyuz-FG is planned for the end of April, 2008.
