Cargo ship Progress М-65 is being prepared for launch to the International Space Station at Baikonur, the agency reports referring to a source at the cosmodrome.

Baikonur. August 5. Kazakhstan Today - Cargo ship Progress М-65 is being prepared for launch to the International Space Station at Baikonur, the agency reports referring to a source at the cosmodrome.

The experts of the cosmodrome are testing and checking the systems in the assembly testing complex of platform №254 according to the schedule of preparation of the cargo transport ship Progress М-65 delivered to the cosmodrome on July 25.

The experts of branch of Samara rocket and space center Progress have started preparation of rocket carrier Soyuz-U in the assembly testing complex of platform №112 intended for launch into the orbit of space "lorry".

Works on assembly of blocks and missile stages of Soyuz-U are being conducted according to the schedule.

Cargo transport ship Progress М-65 is planned to be launched by means of the rocket carrier Soyuz-U on September 10, 2008.

Cargo transport ship Progress М-65 is intended to deliver to the international space station about 4.5 tons of cargoes: foodstuffs, fuel and scientific equipment.
