Carrier rocket Proton-M, Japanese satellite established on launching pad of cosmodrome Baikonur

Carrier rocket Proton-M with the booster block Breeze-M and Japanese space vehicle JCSAT-11 were established on the launching pad of the cosmodrome Baikonur, Federal Space Center Baikonur press service informed the agency.

According to the press service, the decision to carry out the final stage of preparation for the launch of the Japanese telecommunication satellite JCSAT-11 was accepted last night at the state commission session.

"On September 2, at 6.30 by local time, РН Proton-M was taken out from the assembly-test case of the platform 92-1, where joining of РН and the head part of the rocket with JCSAT-11 and booster block Breeze-M was conducted, and then successfully established in vertical position on the launching pad, the press service explained.

As it was informed earlier, КА JCSAT-11 was made by Lockheed Martin Commercial Space Systems Company. Japanese communication operator, JCSAT Corporation Company, will carry out telecommunication services for the consumers in Japan and the Asian-Pacific region. The satellite is intended for 15 years.

The launch of РН Proton-M with booster block Breeze-M and Japanese space vehicle JCSAT-11 have been planned for September 6, at 4.43 by Astana time (2.43. by Moscow time).
