Carrier rocket Zenith-M, space satellite Cosmos launched from Baikonur

Baikonur. June 29. Kazakhstan Today - Carrier rocket Zenith-M and space satellite Cosmos were launched from Baikonur, Federal Space Center Baikonur press service informed the agency.

According to the press service, the launch took place in a regular mode on due time at 16.00 by Astana time. "The Russian satellite, Cosmos series, has been taken out to the basic orbit by the order of the Ministry of Defense of Russia and in the near future will be transferred to the customer," the press service noted.

According to the federal center, the preparation of the launch has been organized by the International space company Cosmotrans in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense and Federal Space Agency of Russia.

As it was informed earlier, launch of carrier rocket Zenith-M with space satellite Cosmos from platform 45 was shifted earlier twice in December, 2006 and January, 2007.
