Almaty, 19 June. Kazakhstan Today. The CEO of Fintur Holdings B.V., Serkan Elden, is leaving this position, agency reports.
Fintur Holdings B.V. is the owner of Kazakhstan's mobile operator, K'Cell. Fintur also owns other regional leading operators, such as Azercell, Geocell and Moldcell.
Mr. Elden has held this position since January 1, 2007. He has been one of the pioneering management leaders of Central Asia and the Caspian region over the last decade. He is known to be a dedicated promoter of Kazakhstan and the Caspian region towards the international markets contributing to the attraction of important investments to our Republic for many years. Mr. Elden has further put Kazakhstan on the map of TeliaSonera, which is one of the world's leading telecoms operators and is the majority shareholder of Fintur Holdings BV.
Mr. Elden is expected to continue his participation to contribute to Kazakhstan's international development in his new endeavors.
Fintur Holdings' shareholders are TeliaSonera (58.55%) and Turkcell (41.45%). Fintur is a leading provider of mobile telecommunications services in the Eurasian emerging markets through its operations in Azerbaijan (Azercell), Kazakhstan (K'Cell), Georgia (Geocell) and Moldova (Moldcell).
