Chief of Karaganda Energy Department committing fatal drunken crash dismissed

Yerlan Uteshev was dismissed on negative grounds from the position of Director of Energy and Housing of Karaganda region, his colleagues in the Department of Energy and Utilities told the agency.

Karaganda. February 22. Kazakhstan Today - Head of Karaganda regional Energy and Utility Department, who committed a fatal accident while drunk, was dismissed, Kazakhstan Today reports.

Yerlan Uteshev was dismissed on negative grounds from the position of Director of Energy and Housing of Karaganda region, his colleagues in the Department of Energy and Utilities told the agency.

"Erlan Uteshev was dismissed, because yesterday he was charged with committing a road traffic accident with fatalities and placed in the detention center for two months," said E. Uteshev's colleagues.

Charge of the control is performed by his Deputy Mukhtar Adambekov. The akim of Karaganda region will decide appoint a new head of the Department.

As previously reported, on February 16, in the morning, E. Uteshev moving in Karaganda on Gogol Street in the direction of Republic Avenue, lost control of the car BMW X5 and drove into the oncoming lane, where collided with two cars, Toyota and Opel.

A 52-year-old passenger of Toyota died from her injuries in the emergency room of the regional medical center. The drivers of Toyota, Opel and BMW X5 were taken to hospital.

Regarding E. Uteshev, provoking a deadly accident, a criminal case was launched the next day under Article 296 of the Criminal Code (violation of traffic rules, resulting in the death or other grave consequences). By the decision of the Kazybekbiy District Court № 1 in Karaganda, Uteshev was arrested and placed in a detention center.
