Almaty. February 26. Kazakhstan Today - The new cheap and effective soundproof material was created by a team of engineers under the direction of Zhiyu Yang from the Hong Kong University of Sciences and Technology. Thin tiles can "stop" sounds in a wide range of frequencies, the agency reports citing Internet magazine Membrana (www.membrana.ru).

Low-frequency sounds do not give rest to tenants of large houses. And it is unimportant what is the source of noise - noisy neighbors or the plane flying nearby. The length of sound waves of low frequency allows them to overcome walls of any thickness easily. For example, the length of 100-Herz sound wave in the air is three meters. No contractor would put up a wall of such thickness.

The solution to the problem exists: there are a lot of soundproof materials in the construction market filtering at least some of noise. The invention of the Chinese experts is relatively simpler and cheaper.
