Civil-engineering construction under the Republic square - Almaly center, carried out by Basis A Corporation, will be continued on the surface, a source from the construction corporation informed the agency.

Almaty. February 11. Kazakhstan Today - Civil-engineering construction under the Republic square - Almaly center, carried out by Basis A Corporation, will be continued on the surface, a source from the construction corporation informed the agency.

According to the source, Corporation Basis A addressed the akimat of Almaty with the proposal to close the area and to begin digging out foundation pit on the square.

As it was informed earlier, before the beginning of widely advertised construction of the shopping center Almaly, the company Basis A guaranteed that it would not block traffic along the square. Besides, the project did not intend to destroy the territory of the square.

In the opinion of the source, the corporation had to change the plans due to unforeseen situation - crack of asphalt surface of the square.

As it was informed earlier, construction has led to occurrence of cracks on asphalt along the square. In this connection, the commission consisting of the akimat representatives, the employees of Basis A company, Emergency Department, designers, experts, the representatives of city Department of Internal Affairs worked on Saturday on the spot of the accident.

The commission members discussed technical details of the work that the experts should conduct on strengthening asphalt surface.

As it was informed earlier, the project, presented by akim of the city Imangali Tasmagambetov and the chairman of Basis A Corporation Alexander Belovich, assumed construction of the shopping entertaining center Almaly under the Republic square.
