Commission named causes of Scat aircraft crash

Almaty. February 18. Kazakhstan Today - The Commission found causes to the Scat aircraft crash at the Almaty airport, Kazakhstan Today reports.

During the investigation of an incident with the aircraft AN-24RV conducted upon the aircraft rolling out of the runway, it was found that the incident was a result of non-compliance with the recommended landing speed for the An-24RV and untimely use of the braking system by aircraft commander, the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications reported.

According to the investigation, Civil Aviation Committee sent recommendations to the management of the airline to bring the airline flying service officers and the airline employees responsible for flights security to account under disciplinary procedures, up to removal from office. Also recommended to transfer the crashed aircraft commander to co-pilots, said the Ministry.

The Ministry informed that the internal affairs authorities launched a criminal case on the air incident. Upon further investigation, law enforcement authorities will assess the incident.

"Meanwhile, all airlines are recommended to inform the flight and technical staff on the circumstances and causes of the aircraft crash in order to prevent similar accidents," the press service informed.

We recall that on February 7 this year in Almaty International Airport the aircraft An-24RV, flying along the Taraz - Almaty route, while landing got outside the landing runway on the sideband security. The aircraft passengers and crew members were not injured in the incident.
