Cosmonauts of crew Soyuz TMA-12 departed for cosmodrome launch complex

The cosmonauts of the crew Soyuz TMA-12 have departed for the starting complex of the cosmodrome to put on their space suits and prepare for launch, the agency reports referring to the source at the cosmodrome Baikonur.

Baikonur. April 8. Kazakhstan Today - The cosmonauts of the crew Soyuz TMA-12 have departed for the starting complex of the cosmodrome to put on their space suits and prepare for launch, the agency reports referring to the source at the cosmodrome Baikonur.

It is a launch day at Baikonur. According to the schedule of flight preparation the basic crew in the structure of: commander of Soyuz TMA-12, ISS commander Sergey Volkov (Russian Federation), flight engineer of Soyuz TMA-12, ISS flight engineer Oleg Kononenko (Russian Federation), the participant of space flight Li So En (Republic Korea) departed at 10.15 a.m. by special buses for the platform №254 to prepare for the flight.

At 14.15 the commander of the ship reported to the chairman of the State Commission of readiness of the crew for launch. The cosmonauts will go to the launching pad №1 of Gagarin launch for landing to the space manned ship.

After re-fuelling of the cargo space ship Soyuz TMA-12 the State Commission will make the decision on launch of the booster rocket Soyuz-FG.

The launch of the manned ship Soyuz TMA-12 with the crew of the 17th basic expedition and the 14th expedition is planned for April 8 at 17.16 p.m. Astana time (15.16 p.m. Moscow time) from the launcher №5 of the platforms № 1 of the cosmodrome Baikonur.
