Council of People's Assembly of Kazakhstan introduced candidates for post of vice chairman of Assembly

The People's Assembly of the Council of Kazakhstan introduced two candidates for the post of vice chairman of the Assembly for consideration of the head of state, Nursultan Nazarbayev, in the residence of the President of Kazakhstan on Tuesday, the agency reports.

Almaty. January 28. Kazakhstan Today - The People's Assembly of the Council of Kazakhstan introduced two candidates for the post of vice chairman of the Assembly for consideration of the head of state, Nursultan Nazarbayev, in the residence of the President of Kazakhstan on Tuesday, the agency reports.

The Council members voted for the nominations - vice chairman of the Association of Russian, Slavic and Cossack organizations of Kazakhstan, Anatoly Chesnokov, and the chairman of the Union of Poles of Kazakhstan, Vitaliy Svintsitsky.

The Council discussed establishment of the scientific and expert council at the Assembly of People's of Kazakhstan, the main aim of which is scientific expertise of the Assembly.

The Secretary of Kazakhstan, Kanat Saudabayev, said the leading research centers and institutes, expert structures and the representatives of the scientific structure of the Republic, engaged in research of the problems in the area of interethnic and interfaith relations, will join the Council.

The Council meeting participants reviewed the work plan of the Assembly for 2009, providing the measures for further strengthening of inter-ethnic and interreligious harmony.
