Almaty. October 2. Kazakhstan Today - Election Committee of Almaty registered three Senate candidates. The chairman of Election Committee of Almaty, Adil Dzhunusov, informed today, the agency reports.

"10 candidates have been nominated during the period of nomination and registration of the candidates of the Senate of Parliament on August 2 - September 13 in the city Almaty, 1 candidate has been nominated from maslikhat, and 9 citizens nominated themselves," A. Dzhunusov informed.

Meetings with maslikhat deputies have been organized for three candidates registered by the commission.

"According to the planned schedule of preparation and elections of deputies of the Senate of Parliament, pre-election campaign of candidates will come to an end on October 2 at 24.00," K. Turgankulov said.

According to the chairman of the Central Election Committee, "at the moment all 37 candidates of the Senate have been registered in the Republic." "Considering the fact that cancellation of the decision on registration of candidates or restoration of earlier withdrawn candidates 2 days prior to elections is not allowed. All of them will take part in the forthcoming elections," he said.

"2 candidates have withdrawn their nomination out of 53 registered deputies before completion of the term of registration and 12 candidates have withdrawn their nomination after the term of registration. Registration of two more candidates has been cancelled in connection with revealing of discrepancy of the information provided by them about their income and property," K. Turgankulov explained.

Central Election Committee on the basis of representation of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has accredited 58 international observers. 49 observers are a part of CIS mission, 5 - SCO mission and 4 more observers represent foreign states.
