Environmental Protection Ministry recommended Shell to reconsider nature protection program

Astana. April 8. Kazakhstan Today - The Ministry of Environmental Protection of Kazakhstan recommends Shell Company to reconsider the plan of nature protection measures. The Minister of Environmental Protection Nurlan Iskakov said on Monday during the working meeting with the company management, the agency reports referring to the Environmental protection Ministry press service.

"During the meeting the parties discussed the questions of influence of the work of the enterprise on the environment. The Minister of Environmental Protection recommended the company to pay special attention to revision of the plan of the nature protection measures aimed at increase of overall performance of gas refining equipment, recultivation of soil, and waste processing," the press release informed.

The chairman of the company Malcolm Brinded suggested joint projects in the field of steady development supported by the ministry.

The main activity of Shell Company is exploration, extraction of oil and natural gas.
