Environmental Protection Ministry to achieve reduction of volumes of sulfur from 8.9 million up to 1.2 million tons

The Ministry of Environmental Protection of Kazakhstan intends to achieve reduction of volumes of sulfur accumulated in Kazakhstan from about 8.9 million tons up to 1.2 million tons since 2012. The Minister of Environmental Protection of Kazakhstan, Nurlan Iskakov, informed today during the plenary session in the Senate of Parliament answering the questions of the deputies, the agency reports.

Kazakhstan Today - The Ministry of Environmental Protection of Kazakhstan intends to achieve reduction of volumes of sulfur accumulated in Kazakhstan from about 8.9 million tons up to 1.2 million tons since 2012. The Minister of Environmental Protection of Kazakhstan, Nurlan Iskakov, informed today during the plenary session in the Senate of Parliament answering the questions of the deputies, the agency reports.

"Our position is since 2012 total volume of sulfur should not exceed 1.2 million tons - it should not be 8.9 million tons," the Environmental Protection Minister said.
