Environmental Protection Ministry to carry out complex inspection of all oil-extracting companies

The Environmental Protection Ministry of Kazakhstan intends to carry out complex inspection of all oil-extracting companies working at the Caspian Sea coast. Vice Minister of the Environmental Protection Ministry, Eldana Sadvakasova, said in an interview to journalists, the agency reports.

Astana. May 13. Kazakhstan Today - The Environmental Protection Ministry of Kazakhstan intends to carry out complex inspection of all oil-extracting companies working at the Caspian Sea coast. Vice Minister of the Environmental Protection Ministry, Eldana Sadvakasova, said in an interview to journalists, the agency reports.

"We will carry out not only complex inspection of the ecological norms, but realization of all contract obligations of the oil companies. There have been the tendency of decrease in incomes of these companies due to reduction of oil prices and these companies have stopped performance of some measures or postponed them for the later periods. We now need to carry out the analysis to define how much they have failed to maintain their obligations", E. Sadvakasova informed.

She specified that the inspection will be carried out by the commission created to check security of the oil extracting companies at the Caspian coast by the instructions of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov.
