Euro-2 standard introduced in Kazakhstan

International technical and ecological standard Euro-2 have been introduced since July 15th, 2009 in Kazakhstan, the agency reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan.

Astana. July 15. Kazakhstan Today - International technical and ecological standard Euro-2 have been introduced since July 15th, 2009 in Kazakhstan, the agency reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan.

"Technical regulations concerning requirements to emissions of harmful (polluting) substances of the vehicles produced in the territory of Kazakhstan have been approved by the government's order of Kazakhstan of December 29th, 2007 №1372 in order to introduce in Kazakhstan the international technical and ecological Euro standard."

The ecological Euro-2 standard has been introduced since July, 15th, 2009, Euro-3 will be introduced on January 1st, 2011, and Euro-4 will be introduced on January 1st, 2014. As for fuel, Euro-2 standard will be introduced not later than January 1st, 2010, Euro-3 - on January 1st, 2014, and Euro-4 - on January 1st, 2016," the press service informed.
