Experts forecast drop of water level of Lake Issyk Kul by 30 meters

Bishkek. June 2. Kazakhstan Today - The experts forecast drop of water level of Lake Issyk Kul by almost 30 meters. It was announced during the presentation of the Second National Report of the UN Frame Convention on Climate Change of Kyrgyzstan taken place in Bishkek.

According to UNDP Office in Kyrgyzstan, the international experts consider that it will occur due to global warming.

According to the Assistant to UNDP Permanent Representative in Kyrgyzstan, Nato Alhazishvili, the questions of global warming and emission of hotbed gases are of vital importance for the whole planet and, first of all, for highlands, such as Kyrgyzstan.
