The chairman of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Ilyas Omarov, informed at a weekly briefing, the agency reports.

Astana. April 13. Kazakhstan Today - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan recommends Kazakhstan citizens to refrain from trips to Thailand during the state of emergency until further notice. The chairman of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Ilyas Omarov, informed at a weekly briefing, the agency reports.

According to I. Omarov, "the Kingdom of Thailand Bangkok declared the state of emergency in Bangkok and in five provinces surrounding the capital on April 12, 2009. The reason was large-scale anti-government demonstrations continuing in the country since March, 2009."

"In this connection, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends the citizens of Kazakhstan to refrain from trips to Thailand during the state of emergency until further notice," I. Omarov said.
