Globalization and international trade bring prosperity and stability - WTO
Almaty. July 17. Kazakhstan Today - World Trade Organization (WTO), in its report devoted to world trade in 2008, stated that globalization and trade promote growth of financial well-being of hundreds millions of people and bring stability in international relations, the agency reports referring to the UN News Center.
The report states that owing to international trade and specialization consumers have received wider choice and production efficiency has improved.
The report authors recognize that the benefit from world trade is distributed among various layers of the population unequally. Such factors as trading barriers and condition of infrastructure complicate reduction of inequality.
The report authors state that the international cooperation, including the so-called Dohin round negotiations, will promote more fair distribution of income received from trade.
