O. Kvyatkovsky was the head of the newspaper since April, 2005. Earlier he held the post of the editor-in-chief of the newspaper Capital Life.

O. Kvyatkovsky was born in 1948. In 1972 he graduated from the faculty of journalism of Kazakhstan State University.

He worked as the correspondent of the newspapers Lenin Smena and Kazakhstan Pravda. He was the staff reporter of the newspaper Labor (1985-1999). He was Director of the agency KODA, the Executive Director of the Broadcasting Company 31 Channel.

O. Kvyatkovsky was the academician of the Academy of Journalism of Kazakhstan, the winner of the premium of the President of Kazakhstan in mass media in 1998.
