Astana. 24 July. Kazakhstan Today - In South Kazakhstan, editor-in-chief of the newspaper extorted money from businessman.

In South Kazakhstan, the editor-in-chief of one of the newspapers presented himself as an employee of department of economic investigations and demanded from the businessman 5 million tenge for ensuring protection in the sphere of a gambling.

"On July 13, 2017 employees of UVB DGD on SKR when carrying out secret investigative actions together with the staff of the Organized Crime Control Department of DIA on SKR when receiving money of 100 thousand tenge from Mukovnikov D.A. near the building of prosecutor's office of the SKR in Shymkent, it is detained Umiraliyev Ghani Bekkozhayevich of 1983 year of birth working as the editor-in-chief of the Kogamdyk Bakylau newspaper (public control)" the official statement of department reported.

According to department the detainee, being represented by the employee of Service economic investigations of DGD on SKRwith use of the counterfeit official ID of the employee the SIR of DGD on YuKO, extorted from the citizen Mukovnikov D. money in the sum of 5 000 000 tenge, for ensuring allegedly protection of business of gambling.
